The company offers a variety of oils including light, medium, and primary heavy crude oils as well as bitumen and synthetic crude oil. Its assets include two pipeline systems, and a 50% working interest in an 84-megawatt cogeneration plant situated in Primrose. Canadian Natural Resources Limited operates primarily in Western Canada, the United Kingdom portion of the North Sea, and Offshore Africa. Originally known as AEX Minerals Corporation, the company switched to its current name in December 1975 following its founding in 1973.
