Yancoal Australia Ltd is a coal exploration and production company based in Sydney, Australia. The company is involved in the exploration, development, production, and marketing of metallurgical and thermal coal in countries such as Japan, Singapore, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, and internationally. Yancoal owns an array of interests in coal mines across Australia, including the Moolarben coal mine, the Stratford Duralie mines, the Yarrabee mine, and the Mount Thorley and Warkworth mines. In addition, it manages six other projects in New South Wales, Queensland, and Western Australia. The company was founded in 2004 and is a subsidiary of Yanzhou Coal Mining Company Limited.
