BlackRock Inc. has launched a closed-ended fixed income mutual fund called the BlackRock Taxable Municipal Bond Trust. The fund is managed by BlackRock Advisors, LLC and invests mainly in the fixed income markets of the United States. Among its investments are taxable municipal securities, such as Build America Bonds, alongside tax-exempt securities, US Treasury securities, obligations of the US government, its agencies and instrumentalities, and corporate bonds. Previously known as BlackRock Build America Bond Trust, the BlackRock Taxable Municipal Bond Trust was established on August 27, 2010 and is based in the United States.
