Chevron Corporation, a multinational energy and chemicals company, is engaged in integrated operations in the United States and around the globe. The company has two business segments: Upstream and Downstream. The Upstream segment primarily focuses on crude oil and natural gas exploration, development, production, transportation, storage, and marketing. Additionally, it includes processing, transportation, storage, and marketing of natural gas, as well as gas-to-liquids operations. On the other hand, the Downstream segment is responsible for refining crude oil into petroleum products, manufacturing and marketing renewable fuels, transportation of crude oil and refined products, and manufacturing and marketing commodity petrochemicals, plastics for industrial purposes, and fuel and lubricant additives among others. Chevron, which was initially known as ChevronTexaco Corporation until 2005, was established in 1879, and its headquarters are located in San Ramon, California.
