China Mobile, founded in 1997, is an investment holding company that provides mobile telecommunications and related services in mainland China, Hong Kong, and other countries. The company was listed on the New York Stock Exchange and The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in 1997 and became a constituent stock of the Hang Seng Index in 1998. It operates a world-class network, including the world's largest mobile network and the world's largest broadband network by coverage. As of 2020, China Mobile had over 946 million active mobile customers and over 187 million wireline broadband customers.
