Energy Transfer LP, a Dallas-based energy company, owns and operates a vast network of pipelines and storage facilities throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and beyond. With approximately 11,600 miles of natural gas transportation pipeline and 19,945 miles of interstate natural gas pipeline, the company also sells natural gas to various customers, including electric utilities, independent power plants, and industrial end-users. In addition, Energy Transfer LP owns and operates natural gas gathering, oil pipeline, and oil stabilization facilities and provides crude oil transportation, terminalling, acquisition, and marketing activities. The company also offers a range of other services, including natural gas compression, carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide removal, and coal and natural resource property management, among others. Founded in 1996 and formerly known as Energy Transfer Equity, L.P., the company changed its name to Energy Transfer LP in October 2018.
