Entergy Corporation, the well-known producer and distributor of electricity in the US, operates across two main segments, Utility and Entergy Wholesale Commodities. While the Utility segment provides electric power in parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, besides providing natural gas services, the Entergy Wholesale Commodities segment deals with nuclear power plant operations and decommissioning, besides having interests in non-nuclear power plants. Entergy generates energy from sources like coal, solar, gas, nuclear, and hydro power. The company caters to retail power providers, utilities, electrified power co-operatives, power trading organizations, and other power generation companies. Interestingly, Entergy has power plants with an electric generating capacity of nearly 24,000 MW, including 5,000 MW of nuclear power.
