Allianz Global Investors Fund Management LLC recently launched and manages PIMCO California Municipal Income Fund II, a closed ended fixed income mutual fund which is also co-managed by Pacific Investment Management Company LLC. The fund has its sights set on investing in the fixed income markets of the United States, with its sights set on stocks of companies from a range of sectors. It primarily invests in municipal fixed-income securities, with its portfolio of investments – among others – including California municipal bonds and notes, other municipal bonds and notes, call and put options written, California variable rate notes, other variable rate notes, corporate notes, California variable rate demand note, and U.S. treasury bills. Since being formed on June 28, 2002, PIMCO California Municipal Income Fund II has become domiciled in the United States.
