RusHydro, one of Russia's largest power generating companies, boasts an impressive 36.5 GW of installed electricity generation capacity in operation. The company owns and operates over 70 hydroelectric facilities including the largest Russian hydropower plant, Sayano-Shushenskaya, in Siberia. Not only does RusHydro have a controlling stake in RAO Energy System of the East, which operates 8.8 GW of heat and power generation assets in the Far East of Russia, but it also manages two hydroelectric power plants in Nigeria. The company's assets also include engineering and power retail operations in Russia, as well as geothermal power plants in Kamchatka and the Zagorskaya pumped storage plant in the Moscow Region.
