Overview

Kinder Morgan, Inc., the Houston-based energy infrastructure company that owns and operates approximately 83,000 miles of pipelines and 140 terminals, has released details of the four segments through which it operates. These segments are Natural Gas Pipelines, Products Pipelines, Terminals and CO2. The Natural Gas Pipelines segment includes ownership and operation of natural gas pipeline systems, storage systems, gathering systems, processing and treating facilities, and liquefied natural gas gasification, liquefaction, and storage facilities. The Products Pipelines segment owns and operates refined petroleum products, crude oil and condensate pipelines, while the Terminals segment handles commodities like renewable fuel, ethanol, metals and petroleum coke. The CO2 segment focuses on producing and transporting CO2 for production crude oil from mature oil fields, as well as owning and operating RNG and LNG facilities. Kinder Morgan was founded in 1936 and changed its name from Kinder Morgan Holdco LLC to Kinder Morgan, Inc. in February 2011.
